The Regional Virtual Campus (RVC) project team recommends the following Implementation Plan:
After approval from the districts' administrations, the RVC testing site should be completed, including setting up user roles and security. Next, the Distance Education Specialists should begin developing training materials and recruiting teaching personnel and other support staff. Student enrollment should begin in March 2013 for the 2013-2014 school year. During this time, the project team will also continue developing and implementing training materials. Further the project team will also build and produce a quality assurance environment for the RVC.
After these tasks have been completed, the RVC should go live by August 15, 2012, with the first day of classes beginning on September 3, 2013. At this time, the RVC project team should monitor all activity and provide support to DE Specialists and other users. The RVC project team will later create a follow up report to stakeholders including issues, lessons learned and additional recommendations at the end of the first school year. The final report will be presented on August 1, 2012.
